What is deforestation?
Deforestation is happen when people clear the forest illegal by cut down a tree, burn, and drive out all wild animals for some purposes for example farming, building dam, and wood product and never re-planted.

Thailand in 1945 and 1975 used to be the country
that has 60% of land that covered by
forest and called one of the most countries that have perfectly forest
in Asia, but in 11 years later Thailand lost 28% of all remaining forest. A reason that Thailand lost many
forests because, greed and selfish from capitalist and some group of people
that think only profit but don’t care about what will happen next.

Thai government tries to manage and write a law of concession to control the damage before it too late, but it doesn't work with powerful and rich people. Powerful and rich people use money to hire villagers that live near a forest to cut the tree down and burn it all. Villagers know that it was illegal logging but, they still do it because of the money that capitalist will give them. Deforestation continue happen together with agricultural expansion, recent economic and requirements for a product that made from wood until next generation of the forest can’t catch up with. Today Thailand suffers from a retribution that happen such as immerse flooding, air pollution, and conflagration.

Deforestation is the main reason of many calamities
that happen in Thailand, immerse flooding is one of it. Immerse flooding is
happen when the ground and few of tree unable to absorb water that come from
heavy rain. It means tons of water that drop from the sky will flow from high
ground to low area in extremely fast. Damage of the water will wipe out
everything on it way and cursing extremely damage to land also curse flooding
after it. Only ground can’t absorb all water but, it need help from forest to
absorb and decrease water speed.
Example of immerse flooding that happen because of
deforestation is happen in November 22, 1988 at Nakhon Si Thammarat
province. Water flows with landslide from top of the mountain with high speed
without trees that will help absorb and decrease the speed. Water carries
thousand of logs that come from deforestation to all villages, farms, and
domestic animal that stay at foothill. In that calamities hundreds of people
die, twenty farms are destroy everything cost more than 1000 million baths.
People call that area “sea of logs”.

Landslide also is calamity that cost a lot of damages in widespread
areas and it will bury every life under it. Landslide happen when mass movement
of ground, sand, and rock under the mountain that lost all the trees from
deforestation and slide itself down to foothill. Damages of landslide are twice
stronger than immerse flooding especially in Thailand that most of land areas
are mountain and a lot of deforestation because most of it is solid and strong
for example, rock and clod of earth.
In Thailand also have landslide at many area, for example in
Uttaradit Province. In 2006 on Maephun, that is one from many places that have
high rate of deforestation in Thailand. Ground shake a giant rock that bigger
than a bus roll with clod of earth flow to the foothill with speed more than
800 km in spread area destroy everything that block they way and bury
everything and life under it in few hours.

Global warming is another serious problem that happening in our world. Thailand also suffer from this problem because of a forestland that serve as lung of the earth is destroy by human and replace by population size and construction. Global warming will increase heat and especially Thailand had hit by extremely heat which recorded maximum temperature is 43°C in northern province and it could be rise further. Global warming situation is very serious situation in this time because it damage everything on earth for example crops, domestic animal, aquatic animals, and it will be chain reaction until we have no place to live
Dr. Smith Thammasaroch, the chairperson of the Foundation Council of National Disaster Warning, says that "Global warming will longer threat to Thailand and all humanity if we keep destroy the nature without concern what will happen in the future"

Another problem that Thailand suffers from deforestation is lost of
wild animals. While people but the forest they will not care what will happen
to all animals in the forest they just got paid and do what they have to do. Animals
that lost them shelter, hunting ground, and reproduce area will be hunt down or
chase away. Bad luck for end danger animal, because they will be kill every
time they show up. Some animal need really good environment to reproduce and
most of them are having name in the list of end danger animals in Thailand. If
we keep deforestation continue happen in Thailand our next generation will see
animal only in the picture and video.
Thailand use to be a country that cover with forest, much kind of wild animals and don’t often attack by natural disasters, but now a day Thailand suffer a lot of danger disaster
that come from our own hands by deforestation. Everybody knows what we have to
pay after we cut down all the trees without control. Every time that calamity
happen many things lost and some of it is unable to get back, so we have to
increase our responsibility to our body and mind that we have to prevent those
calamities from Thailand by stop deforestation before everything is too late.

ตอบลบThe total forest is 30%, 20% have been conserved. So Thai people should realize that we should not destroy 10% that has left. Wildlife and tree will be extinct. We can see that some forset are full of trees, but no animals, we called as Empty Forest Syndrome. I think, It's not too late to protect our forest.

ตอบลบDeforestation in Thailand it should be a big concern for Thai people. If we see Thailand from the bird eye view we will see how much we have a green space left. People cut down the tree for their own benefit, they are not thinking about another creature on earth and not thinking about the effect. And this is cause so much problem than we ever realize.

In my opinion, some paragraph make me depress because deforestation is the main cause that have many effect ,such as flood,landslide,global warming,and lost of wildlife. This things was happen from human.So,we have to increase our responsibility to our body and mind that we have to prevent those calamities from Thailand by stop deforestation before everything is too late.
